CHINA TEST FIRES NUCLEAR-CAPABLE HYPERSONIC ROCKET - China reportedly left US military and intelligence officials stunned after firing a hypersonic nuclear-capable missile back in August, sources informed the Financial Times. Hypersonic missiles travel 5x the speed of sound, which causes worry as the new technology could negate US anti-missile defense systems. [Financial Times]

UK WON’T ACT AGAINST PRINCE ANDREW OVER ABUSE CLAIMS - The UK government will not investigate or charge Prince Andrew over horrific abuse claims made by Virginia Giuffre in connection to Jeffery Epstein. Virginia has long accused the British royalty figure of sexual abuse related to Epstein. Note: Virginia has a now-infamous picture of herself with Prince Andrew when she was a minor, and was authenticated by the FBI. [AP]

MORE PROTESTS ERUPT OVER SHOT MANDATES - Thousands of Italian citizens have begun protesting against shot mandates, which require anyone who seeks employment to report their jab status.  "There will finally be a revolution in Italy," said another protester, Carolina, who works in the fashion industry. ATTEMPTED HIJACKING DURING AFGHANISTAN EVACUATION - Officials received an intelligence tip that 5 people on board one of the commercial airline flights “intended to hijack the aircraft," the Air Force said in a statement providing new information regarding the chaotic evacuation efforts in August. JESSE SMOLLETT CASE WON’T BE DISMISSED - Smollett will face trial for charges related to filing a fake police report in which he claimed he was assaulted by racist, white Trump supporters. [NY Daily News]

NY TO BAN SALE OF ALL NEW GAS-POWERED VEHICLES BY 2035 - New legislation signed by Governor Hochul on Wednesday mandates all new passenger cars, light trucks and off-road vehicles sold in the state be zero emissions by 2035.

In a post from the Governor’s office, Commissioner Seggos said,  “when adopted, this new regulation will require an increasing percentage of all new trucks sold in New York to be zero-emissions vehicles beginning with the 2025 model year." The move is part of the state's plan to slash greenhouse gas emissions by 85% by 2050. [CNET]

CA LAW BANS OFF-ROAD GAS ENGINES, INCLUDING LAWNMOWERS & CHAINSAWS - On Saturday, Gov. Newsom signed a bill which bans the sale of all gas-powered engines, including generators, lawn equipment, chainsaws, trimmers, etc. The rule will be enforced starting January 2024.  [Washington Examiner]

PORT OF LA OPERATING 24/7 TO SLOW ONGOING SUPPLY CHAIN CRISIS - Biden announced that the port of LA and companies such as FedEx would operate 24/7 to mitigate the ongoing supply chain crisis. The port of LA handles roughly 40% of incoming cargo.

This comes as US Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigeig said supply chain issues will “certainly” continue into next year. He was previously absent for two months on paternity leave.  [BBC, CNN]

APPLE HELPS THE CCP END RELIGIOUS FREEDOM- Apple is helping China oppress religion by removing popular Quran and Bible apps from the app store in the country at the communist party’s request. According to a statement from one of the app’s developers, the app was removed “because it includes content that is illegal.” It was later revised to say “[the app] includes content that requires additional documentation from Chinese authorities.” [Fortune]

REPORT: RECORD 4.3M QUIT JOBS IN AUGUST - A new government report released on Wednesday said 4.3M people quit their jobs in August, a 20 year high. The number equates to over 3% of the US workforce. 892,000 workers in the foodservice and accommodation industries left their jobs, while 721,000 retail workers departed along with 534,000 in health care and social assistance. INFLATION AND AN EXPENSIVE WINTER - With prices surging worldwide for heating oil, natural gas, and other fuels, the U.S. government said Wednesday it expects households to see their heating bills jump as much as 54% compared to last winter. The biggest reason for this winter’s higher heating bills is the recent surge in prices for energy commodities after they dropped to multi-year lows in 2020. [AP]

FAKE NEWS KATIE COURIC PROTECTED THE LATE RBG - Journalist Katie Couric admits that she decided not to report some comments by the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. The unreported comments were related to the NFL protests where RBG condemned those who kneeled for the flag. [NPR]

“LET'S GO BRANDON!”- After an NBC reporter famously claimed a crowd at a NASCAR meet was cheering “Let’s go Brandon!” instead of “F*** Joe Biden!,” the trend has gone viral with multiple videos showing crowds and individuals chanting the phrase. [The Sun]


SEATTLE COULD FIRE 40% OF POLICE FORCE OVER MANDATE - The city is ready to fire 403/1000 officers for failing to get the mandated shot by October 18th. Their murder rate has hit a 26-year high.  [NY Post]

DELTA AIRLINES DITCHES VAX MANDATE - Delta CEO Bastian stated, “We’re proving that you can work collaboratively with your people, trusting your people to make the right decisions, respecting their decisions, and not forcing them over the loss of their jobs.” [Disclose.tv]

JUDGE BLOCKS UNITED AIRLINES MANDATE FROM SUSPENDING WORKS - A federal judge extended the ban on United Airlines putting employees on paid leave for seeking exemptions to the airline's shot requirement. [Yahoo! News]

KYRIE IRVING: GET VAXXED OR GET GONE - The Brooklyn Nets will not allow Kyrie Irving to rejoin the team for practices or games until he receives the shot. He walked away from a $186M contract extension.

CALIFORNIA MANDATES STUDENTS TO TAKE WOKE CLASS TO GRADUATE HIGH SCHOOL - California will require students to complete an ethnic studies course to graduate from high school under a bill Gov. Gavin Newsom signed Friday, and it's believed to be the first state to mandate such coursework. The courses have been accused of being anti-American, anti-White, and antisemitic. [Politico]

DC JAIL OFFICIALS HELD IN CONTEMPT OVER DELAYED MEDICAL CARE TO 1/6 PROTESTER - Christopher Worrell, who has cancer, has reportedly been suffering from horrific conditions inside the DC correctional facility.

He was arrested for allegedly spraying pepper spray at who he believed was Antifa and has been denied bail since March 12th. Worrell never entered the capitol building. Now, a federal judge has held multiple DC jail officials in contempt of court for not explaining why Worrel was denied appropriate medical treatment and surgery for his cancer and a broken wrist, respectively, with the latter having been received in custody.

He also contracted the virus while in jail, and was reportedly denied water for 7 hours at a time.

Worrell’s lawyer: “Mr. Worrell is currently held in pretrial detainment without access to his prescribed cancer medication, or the regular examination and treatment necessary for someone with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. He is experiencing a rapidly deteriorating condition as he develops lymphomas on the skin of his face, neck, back, arms, and legs putting him at great risk for further complications and COVID-19 exposure. Mr. Worrell is allegedly one of the thousands of individuals who went to the grounds of the U.S. Capitol Complex on January 6, 2021 to exercise his First Amendment rights… COVID, combined with the lack of treatment for his cancer, has caused him severe psychological and emotional distress. Mr. Worrell is currently in fear for his life and not sure if he will live to see his son grow up… or even live to see his own trial.” [Breitbart]

INTERNAL MEMO SAYS ASHLEY BABBITT WAS SHOT FOR “NO GOOD REASON” - In a 500-page document obtained by Judicial Watch through a FOIA request, an internal memo describes how the Capitol police officer who shot Ashley Babbitt did so for “no good reason.” No disciplinary action has been taken against the officer.
